Josie Sutton

I’m Josie, a senior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, majoring in advertising and public relations and journalism with a minor in human rights and humanitarian affairs. I will graduate in December 2026. I’m from Wahoo, Nebraska, but I live in Lincoln, where I live with my cat, Boogie.

 

I am passionate about building a sense of community and understanding, and want to work at a business that shares those values.

 

My experience as a student reporter has helped me work with deadlines, collect data, and improve my interviewing skills. My studies in human rights further my commitment to ethical reporting and advocating for those who don't have as much of a voice. I've learned how to apply statistics and data to my advertisements to make them meaningful to my target audience. My experience as a college athlete and in the service industry has strengthened my teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.

 

I'm excited to apply these skills to a profession that allows me to continue to create impactful and creative work.
