To whom it may concern,

My name is Josie Sutton, and in December of 2026, I will graduate with two degrees, ADPR and

Journalism and a minor in Human Rights. I am writing to introduce myself to future employers and

anyone who would like to learn more about my skills and experience!

While at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s College of Journalism and Mass Communications, I

have been able to build many skills with resources from the university.

Over the course of my degree, I have worked with Adobe software, R Studio, Google Gemini,

ChatGPT, Datawrapper, and more. I have worked with JVC and DSLR cameras and a variety of

microphones. I have been published on UNL's Nebraska News Service and Heartland Pulse, and

have written more than 20 independent articles on topics including sports, immigration, health,

community events, and businesses.

I have worked independently with nonprofits to create video and social media content to promote

their events. I've done extensive research to determine the target audience, market, and personas using

databases like MRI Simmons.

On top of my academic experience, I have been employed and working while getting my degree. I’ve

worked with all ages and have found success in the restaurant industry. I’ve been at my current job,

Big 10 Sports Bar, for about one and a half years now, and I find myself drawn to the job because of

the strong bonds I form with my coworkers and its merit-based concept(you put more in, you get

more out!).

Before I transferred to the University of Nebraska, I played volleyball at Midland University. I thrive in

a competitive environment, and I work well under pressure. I want to feel this positive pressure and

competition in my future workplace.
